Hey, I got your message. And I totally understand why you’re hesitant about this one. On one level, the message reads clearly, but on others it doesn’t. You see, this is the sort of situation where details really matter, but you can’t offer them. The potential outcomes all feel horrifying in unique ways, but you need the person to just pick one. You can’t control which one they pick, though you may have a strong opinion about that. No matter what you feel, it remains up to them. It’s up to them to rise to the occasion or dodge it, somehow. I mean, there is a way to, of course. It’s just… well, it’s complicated.

But for now, dear cadet, test your character. In many ways, it’s the only test that matters.
